Pura UV20-1
The Pura UV20-1 water filter and purifier is designed to provide disinfected water at a flow rate of 8-10 gallons per minute
for whole home use, providing filtered and purified water throughout your entire home to ensure that not only your drinking water is safe from many pollutants, bacteria and micro-organisms, but that your cooking and bathing water is also purified.
The system includes a 20″pre-filter for sediment removal down to 5 micron . The carbon stage filters harmful chemicals like chlorine, VOC’s, pesticides, herbicides, benzene, PCE and more. The Ultraviolet lamp has a kill rate of 99.99% for micro-organisms including Bacteria and Viruses sometimes found in water supplies.

How does it work?
The DNA of disease causing microorganisms exposed to UV light is disrupted so that it is not possible for the microorganism to replicate and cause illness.

The UV20-1 system uses about as much electrical energy as a 40watt light bulb.
How long does an ultraviolet (UV) lamp last?
The UV output of the UV lamp decreases slowly with age and has a useful life of 9000 hours (one year). Beyond 9000 hours the lamp output starts degrade rapidly and disinfection performance will be suspect. UV20-1 disinfection units are designed to provide the specified dose at the end of the useful lamp life. The integral lamp change reminder alarm will inform you of the necessity of changing the lamp. Operating the lamp beyond 9000 hrs will result in ever reducing disinfection performance.
